A writer…
I worked for Hot Press.
I completed an internship with Daily Ireland (which is now defunct).
I wrote for Spunout and was on their board.
I wrote a weekly political blog for Rock The Vote (which is no longer online, but I will upload my columns here soon).
I’m currently a blogger with Th!nk Blogging Competition, in association with Amnesty International, the UN and the European Commission. I was selected to take part on this year’s competition and am blogging on this year’s topic; Development. I was selected as a winner and will be traveling to Malaysia in August. Delira.
A media mogul…
I was on Questions and Answers, Prime Time and The Cafe, all on RTE. I’ve been on radio too: The Gerry Ryan Show and Newstalk.
I made a one minute film about feminism and Marys.
I was awarded a place at the annual ‘European Youth Media Days‘ in 2009.
A political soul…
I completed a prestigious internship with Sen. Chris Dodd, in the U.S. Senate as part of the Washington Ireland Program for Service and Leadership. I attended Senate committee hearings, wrote complex position papers, responded to constituent correspondence and gave tours of the Capitol building. I wrote a piece advising potential Capitol Hill interns. 
I was a member of the Class of 2008 of the Washington Ireland Program, and I kept a diary of it here. I met Senators Clinton and Kerry and attended a speech by former Vice President Al Gore. I went on to take up a management position with the Washington Ireland Program in 2009, managing prestigious program events, mentoring interns and shaping the leadership curriculum.

A volunteer…
I worked as a volunteer in Zambia in 2007. I will soon upload some articles I wrote while I was there.

A speaker…
I was an avid debater in college and have spoken at a number of conferences. For example, my contribution to the ‘Media Moves’ symposium is here. I contributed to the Riverbank Reading Series, the State Examinations Commission Conference and the Irish League of Credit Unions Conference.

My education…
I have a BA (2.1) degree in English, History and Politics from the National University of Ireland in Maynooth. I obtained a partial scholarship on academic merit to attend NUIM. I have completed additional training in leadership and international development.
